    Timeline data (JSON)

This tracker follows money moving into and out of US spot ether ETFs, along with the regulatory and product changes that shape it. Daily flow figures come from data aggregators such as SoSoValue. Totals can differ by provider, and we show ranges where they do.[2][3] This page is not financial advice.

Where flows stand (as of October 4, 2026)

US spot ether ETFs held about $17.7 billion to $17.8 billion in late September 2026, roughly 5.4% of ether’s total market value. Cumulative net inflows since launch were about $13.8 billion to $13.9 billion.[2] For 2026 to September 25, the funds had net inflows of about $1.6 billion.[6] BlackRock’s ETHA is the largest, with net assets of about $8.69 billion on October 9, 2026.[7][8]

    The late-summer surge

Inflows picked up sharply in August 2026. Estimates of the month’s total range from about $1.75 billion to $1.85 billion, the best month in about a year.[3] One late-August week alone brought about $824 million.[9] September added about $832 million. That total included about $690 million in the week of September 21-25, led by ETHA and Fidelity’s FETH.[4][10]

    Early-October outflows

The streak reversed at the end of the quarter. Ether funds lost about $3 million on September 29, $60 million on September 30 and $55 million on October 1. Bitcoin funds took in about $103 million on October 1.[5] 24/7 Wall St. linked the selling to quarter-end rebalancing after ether gained about 57% in the third quarter.[11] That is one outlet’s interpretation, not an established cause.

    Staking changes the product

Until 2025, most US ether ETFs offered only price exposure. Several issuers now stake part of their holdings to earn network rewards.[12] Grayscale’s two funds began staking on October 6, 2025.[13] BlackRock’s ETHB listed on March 12, 2026.[14] By June 30, 2026 it had 86.9% of its ether staked.[15] For how these products work, see What are Ethereum ETFs?. For fees by fund, see the ether ETF comparison.
